Ambient intelligence is an emerging discipline that brings intelligence to everyday environments and makes those environments sensitive to mankind.

Artificial intelligence is playing an increasingly important role in hospitality management, primarily because of its ability to carry out traditionally human functions at any time of the day. This potentially means that hotel can save significant money, eliminate human error and deliver superior service. The key features of Ambient Intelligence include:

·       Context Awareness: Artificial intelligence technologies are designed to be context-aware, meaning they can detect and respond to changes in the environment, user preferences, and behavior, and provide personalized services accordingly.

·       Ubiquitous Computing: Artificial intelligence technologies are based on ubiquitous computing, which means they are embedded in everyday objects and environments, making them easy to access and use.

·       Personalization: Artificial intelligence technologies provide personalized services to users based on their individual needs, preferences, and behavior.

·       Intelligence: Artificial intelligence technologies are intelligent, meaning they can learn from user interactions and data, and adapt their behavior accordingly.

Ambience management is an important aspect of the hospitality industry, as it plays a crucial role in creating a positive guest experience and ensuring guest satisfaction. Points to considered for maintaining ambience for guest satisfaction.

·       Spatial layout (accommodating furniture placement as per their functionality)

·       Decoration (comfort, relaxation, functionality, personalization, and atmosphere)

·       Light and music (managing and creating sustainable room ambience)

·       Color (enhancing guest experience and creating sense of luxury and comfort)

·       Quality service (creating, enhancing and managing customer experience)
